About the Authors
Shannon Le Mintier, RD, LD, earned a bachelor’s degree in dietetics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and completed her post graduate education at Patton State Hospital in San Bernardino, California. She has been in practice since 1997 as a registered dietitian and fitness professional providing services and classes for individuals, corporations, amateur and professional athletes, as well as youth and college sport teams. Shannon has expertise in various specialties including weight loss and gain, eating disorders, sports and athletics, and women’s health. As a member of many professional associations, Shannon keeps herself on the cutting edge of health, fitness and science. She lives with her husband and daughter in Georgia.
Liesl Bradner began her writing career at Florida State University and has over 15 years in the newspaper business working for The Los Angeles Times and The Orlando Sentinel. She is currently a freelance writer covering eco-friendly topics for Sun Community Newspapers which include the Studio City, Encino and Sherman Oaks, California neighborhoods where she is always discovering new ways to go green. She is also an actress and mother of two children. Liesl believes in the importance leaving this planet a better place for our children. She sets a good example for her kids by doing things such as recycling, taking fewer trips around town and taking shorter showers. A native of Pennsylvania, Liesl currently resides in Los Angeles.
Wendy Strgar is a sex educator focusing on Making Love Sustainable, a green philosophy of relationships which teaches the importance of valuing the renewable resources of love and family. Wendy is the owner and founder of Good Clean Love, Inc., manufacturer of all natural love and intimacy products. She researches and advises on a range of healthy products for enhanced intimacy and provides information on the negative health impacts of many of the petrochemical ingredients found in common over the counter intimacy products. Wendy has learned that physical intimacy is an important component of sustaining healthy loving relationships through her own marriage of over 23 years. Wendy has a Masters degree in Organizational Development and Training and has taught personal development/career workshops for many years. Wendy lives in Eugene, Oregon with her husband, a psychiatrist, and their four children ages 8-17.
Michelle Bexelius received her degree in Conceptual Design/Information Arts from San Francisco State University. She worked for nearly a decade as a creative architect, interface designer and usability engineer on behalf of high tech companies and then set out on her own to become a professional photographer and graphics designer. In 2006, she incorporated an eco-friendly printer into her design business which spawned a greater awareness of the environmental movement. A long advocate of conscious living - choosing local organic foods, natural therapies and eco-friendly products, dark green is Michelle’s favorite color. She continues to find and share with others new and innovative ways to promote a shift to living a more conscious, aware life but with a sense of style. Michelle is one of the co-founders of Green This Life. She currently resides in Santa Barbara, CA, with her husband and two children.
